Rainbow Artsy Fartsy Birthday Card

I wanted to share this pretty rainbow card that I made for my beautiful and talented niece, whose birthday was Nov 10th. When I say talented, y'all have no idea how much. She can take a photo and make a pencil drawing that looks just as realistic, if not more. Her talent amazes me. I am crafty. She is an artist.

I made this card because rainbows mean something amazing for her, and I was hoping that the stamp I chose to use from the Artistically Inked stamp set would elude to her artistic nature. She doesn't just like art y'all. She is art. And I love her.

Stampin' Up! Supplies

Cardstock: Basic Black, Basic White
Stamps: Artistically Inked
Ink: Versamark, Embossed with White Basics Embossing Powder
Adhesive: Stampin' Seal Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals
Other Supplies: Black Rhinestone Jewels (not Stampin' Up!)

If you don't have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator already, please choose me as your demo on your next Stampin' Up! order so that I can afford to buy all the pretty things. Ha ha!

Just click on "Find a Demonstrator" at the top of the Stampin' Up! website. Then, type my name in the search bar (Chelle Scott).

And, as always, thanks so much for stopping by! And, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Paper Pumpkin Fun

Hey all. I just wanted to jump on and share what I got to play with yesterday. I haven't had much time or motivation to play with my crafty stuff lately. Do you sometimes get in a funk like that? I watch lots of videos on YouTube of others playing, but I'm just not motivated. It's a cycle for me I think.

Anyhow, this month's Paper Pumpkin was quite motivating! OMG. So much good stuff. This kit was designed to go with three suites in the new catalog (Garden Lane, Come Sail Away and Woven Threads) none of which I really wanted. But now I think I'm in love with Come Sail Away and need it lol. The sailing stuff in this kit really blew me away. And the paper that went with Woven Threads had me swooning too.

Y'all know I did not design these cards. I CASE almost everything I do. It's just easier and funner when I don't have to think about things :) I cased these cards from several people on the Paper Pumpkin Fan Page on Facebook (Molly Partin, Debbie Henderson, Carrie Ricksecker, and Dana Mclelland).
Aren't those sailboat images stunning? And the map paper, which is actually cut from the envelope liners, just really goes so well. I'm also loving the little anchors.
I love the Bird Ballad suite. I can't help it. And the birds in that paper went lovely with the papers provided in the Paper Pumpkin kit this month.
I find the color combination and patterns in this paper so beautiful. Makes me kind of want to buy the Woven Threads paper now. And, I'll let you know a little secret. That cardstock is not the new Pretty Peacock that is in the papers. That is a retired color-- Dapper Denim (I think). I loved that paper and couldn't let it go. And it is so close that you really can't tell.

Well, that's all I have for today. I hope you enjoyed it and find some inspiration to get you crafting a bit as well!

Please, if you don't have a demonstrator already, choose me as your demonstrator when you go to make a purchase on the Stampin' Up! website. My name is Chelle Scott, and I live in Utah :)

Ode to Hello Cupcake

Oh Hello Cupcake, I will miss you. You retired in March, and life just isn't the same without you.

Ok, just kidding. I don't have to miss the Hello Cupcake stamp set because I still have it and won't part with it lol. But, I am sorry if you didn't get it. The good news is that you can do this same card with any cupcake image, or even a cake or cute animal or whatev.

I'm starting to think that whenever I make a card, I should just make two, right? Because I have everything out. And the cardstock sheets make two card bases anyhow. So why not build up my stash?

As everyone knows, I usually CASE cards (copy and share everything) from someone else. It makes my brain hurt to try to come up with a new design. This card is no different. I cased the lovely Mary Haugen at Center Stage Stamping. You can find her card here.

The little heart stickers are the only thing I didn't case. They are also not Stampin' Up! :0 I do have the Well Written thinlits dies, but I was too lazy to get them out. Lol. They are just stickers I had laying around from Walmart.

The twine is actually a strand that I pulled out of the burlap ribbon. Cause I didn't have twine. Smart huh?

Please, if you don't have a demonstrator already, choose me as your demonstrator when you go to make a purchase on the Stampin' Up! website. My name is Chelle Scott, and I live in Utah :)

As always, thank you so much for stopping by. And I hope you found something interesting to inspire you here today.

Gorgeous Grape Birthday

This coming week we have a lot of birthdays in our family. On May 21st my son will be 22, my sister will be 39, and Shane's aunt will be 65 (those three all on the same day!). My Dad will also turn 65 the next day. So, I have lots of cards to make in a hurry. My son doesn't want one. He didn't want to hurt my feelings, but I understand it isn't his thing. I'm not asking the rest of them lol. I think they will all enjoy them.

Anyhow, I decided to start with Shane's aunt. She is probably the easiest one to make a card for. She likes almost everything I do. And I know one of her fave colors is purple because it was her mom's favorite.

I have been loving the most recent Paper Pumpkin stamp set, Sentimental Rose. It is no longer available, but I had to share how awesome Paper Pumpkin has really become. This set will most likely stay in my stash for a very long time. As long as I love florals or it gets worn out :)

Don't you just love it?! I stamped the background all with the large rose image in Smoky Slate ink too.

Well, that's it for me today. Short and sweet. But stay tuned for more birthday stamping madness :)

For this card, I used the following Stampin' Up! (and some non SU) products available (mostly) for purchase at the Stampin' Up! store. Please, if you don't have a demonstrator already, choose me as your demonstrator when you go to checkout. My name is Chelle Scott, and I live in Utah :)

April Crafty Sharing

Just thought I'd check in and share a couple of cards I've made over the last couple of weeks.

The first one is a card that I really love. I made it for Shane's birthday. He turned 45 this week. I can't believe we're in our 40s. Time really does fly. I still feel 20 in my head. My body, now that's a bit different :) I actually made two of these so I could use one for my Dad for Father's Day.

As you can see above and below, I decorated the flap of my envelope as well as the inside of the card with some extra pieces of patterned paper. I love decorating and personalizing things that I gift to people. I hope that it shows my love and care for them.

As I have mentioned many times in the past, I hardly ever come up with card designs on my own. I almost always copy someone else's genius. I have the desire to create with my hands, but not to design lol. I think I can leave that up to people who are truly good at it and just happily go about emulating their talents to the best of may abilities. I think most people don't mind that. Otherwise they wouldn't share their work. But, I do want to give credit where credit is due. So, with that in mind, I got the above design from the extremely gifted Making Memories with Michelle.

This design from Julie's Japes I just loved when looking for ideas for using up my Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper. I got two packs for free during Sale-A-Bration, so I have lots to use up :)

For these cards, I used the following Stampin' Up! products available for purchase at the Stampin' Up! store. Please, if you don't have a demonstrator already, choose me as your demonstrator when you go to checkout. My name is Chelle Scott, and I live in Utah :)

Waterfront Birthday Card:

I'm slowly working through my new catalog wish list, one paycheck at a time :) There are so many fun new stamp sets!
This Bokeh Dots background stamp really caught my eye, but I wasn't sure how I'd ever use it. It's small for a background, and I'm truly not very creative. But I knew lots of ideas would pop up from other talented people, and it would be an awesome addition to my ever growing stamp collection once I got it figured out.
Enter the Dandelion Wishes set. How did I not see this the first time I flipped eagerly through my catty? I mean, it's so cute! And it compliments the Bokeh Dots set perfectly. As soon as I saw it, I wanted to do a sentiment that said "Wish" in it. Didn't we all make a wish while blowing on dandelions as kids? Nostalgic.
For this card, I used the following Stampin' Up! products available for purchase in my SU store:

Stamp Sets: Dandelion Wishes, Follow Your Dreams (sentiment), Bokeh Dots
Embellishments: Metallics Sequin Assortment

As always, thank you so much for stopping by. And I hope you found something interesting to inspire you here today.

Sale-A-Bration Birthday Shaker Card

I sometimes have a hard time coming up with card designs of my own. I CASE a lot of other people's work. And I think that is totally fine. Takes the guess work out of things and lets me just place with my stuff and have fun.

But, every once in a while, I get an idea that is my own. And this is one of those times. This isn't a life-changing design by any means lol. I have seen and made shaker cards this same way before. But, I didn't copy this card from anyone. And I love it!

I used the following Stampin' Up! products available for purchase in my SU store at the link in the sidebar :)
Paper: Whisper White, Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper (Occasions 2018 catalog)
Ink: Berry Burst
Adhesives: Snail Adhesive, Foam Adhesive Strips, Mini Glue Dots
Embellishments: Sequins, Berry Burst 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon (Occasions 2018 catalog)

Thanks for visiting today. And, if you just love anything I share or want to see more, the link to my Stampin' Up! store is in the upper right of the page links. Happy shopping!

Magical Day Unicorn Love

It has been a few long weeks for me. Anyone else? Do you ever just like, lose your mojo? I have all these amazing new goodies from Stampin' Up!, and I see all of these ideas on Pinterest that I'm loving, but I just couldn't make myself do anything with all that inspiration. I hate when that happens, but then sometimes I think maybe we just need that creative break.

I finally found a project sample on Pinterest that sparked something. It was a fairly simple one, and I already had some of the pieces leftover from previous projects, so I decided to go for it. Yay!

Don't you just love it? I shamelessly CASED this from Yvonne Van Bruggen. Her card was so beautiful. I just had to try it. Rainbows are still speaking to me, and I'm listening! Lol.

I used the following Stampin' Up! products available for purchase in my SU store at the link in the sidebar :)
Paper: Whisper White, scrap of Daffodil Delight for the sun cutout, scraps of Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper and vellum cardstock for cloud cutouts
Markers: Stampin Blends in Light Cherry Cobbler, Dark Pumpkin Pie, Dark Daffodil Delight, Dark Old Olive, Light Bermuda Bay, and Dark Rich Razzleberry
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Dies: Magical Mates Framelits Dies
Adhesives: Snail Adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals
Embellishments: Sequins, Myths and Magic Washi Tape (so yum!)

Stay tuned to see if I can keep this mojo going :) And, if you just love anything I share or want to see more, the link to my Stampin' Up! store is in the upper right of the page links. Happy shopping!

As always, thank you so much for stopping by. And I hope you found something interesting to inspire you here today.

New Occasions Catalog Goodies

Hey, y'all! How was everyone's Christmas? I hope it was very merry :)

I was so busy the last part of this year, and I didn't have much time to get on here and blog. Sorry about that! I do my best, but you know, that pesky job thing gets in the way too ;)

I'm here today to share some exciting news. Stampin' Up! will be releasing the new Occasions and Sale-A-Bration items for sale to the public next week (January 3rd to be exact). There are so many beautiful sets, you won't want to miss out. Especially since during Sale-A-Bration, you can earn free product with each $50 you spend! And this year they've added $100 free product as well. I'm loving it. I wish I had more time (and money) so I could play with all the things.

This is a card I made with one of the new Occasions bundles. Could you just die with how fun this is? I have loved rainbows every since I was young (this might be an 80s child thing), and they are coming back. Yay!

I like to decorate the inside of may cards with just a little something, and that cloud stamp was calling my name. Isn't it cute?

I used the following Stampin' Up! products available for purchase in my SU store at the link in the sidebar :)
Cardstock: Real Red, Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Pacific Point, and Rich Razzleberry
Specialty Paper: Watercolor Paper, Vellum Cardstock, and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper
Ink Pads: Memento Tuxedo Black, Pool Party and VersaMark
Markers: Tempting Turquoise (used smooshing technique with water spray)Stamp Sets: Sunshine & Rainbows (available January 3rd, Occasions catalog)
Dies: Rainbow Builder Framelits (available January 3rd, Occasions catalog)
Adhesives: Fast Fuse (good when using watercolor paper as it warps a little bit), Snail Adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals
Other Accessories: Iridescent Sequin Assortment

I got a few other sets that I can't wait to play with too. So stay tuned for that. And if you just love anything I share or want to see more, the link to my Stampin' Up! store is in the upper right of the page links. Happy shopping!

As always, thank you so much for stopping by. And I hope you found something interesting to inspire you here today.

Watercolor Happy Birthday Card

This is my personal challenge Day 9 entry for the Scrap Gals Community Facebook group 100 Days Project.

I am really loving the Happy Birthday Thinlits Die from Stampin' Up! I held off getting it for a while because I know I can cut something similar from paper on my Silhouette Cameo. But.....my Cameo kind of hates glitter paper. And I kind of adore it. Lol. The blade on the cameo gets chewed up really fast by glitter paper. And the cuts aren't usually that smooth, or it doesn't cut deep enough. Just an overall pain in the you know what. So.....that's a long way to say that this die makes my life easy.

This card came together super quickly, and I think it will make a great impression on the recipient (my cousin). I can see myself using this for many simple and quick birthday cards in the future.

For this card I used the following Stampin' Up! products (current items available for purchase in my SU store at the link in the sidebar :)
Paper: Thick Cardstock in Whisper White, Watercolor Paper, Glimmer Paper in Gold
Ink Pads: Bermuda Bay
Stamps: None (*gasp*)
Tools: Aqua Painter (large tip one), Big Shot Die Cutting Machine, Happy Birthday Thinlits Die, Paper Trimmer
Ribbon and Trim: Sequins from a past Paper Pumpkin kit
Adhesives: Stampin' Dimensionals and Snail Adhesive

Other (Non Stampin' Up! products): Aquamarine looking polka dot scrap from my paper stash (I think this is from the Echo Park Capture Life paper pad.)

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you found something interesting to inspire you here today.

Watercolor Wings Birthday

Hey All! I'm back today to share my Day 7 project with you for the Scrap Gals Community Facebook group 100 Days Project. I finished this last night, but I couldn't take photos until this morning. It was too dark inside my house.

My personal goal for the duration of this project is to complete my Christmas cards by the end of November this year. However, today I decided to make a birthday card for a long-time friend of mine (way back from high school). She loves purple and we share a fondness for butterflies. I love that with Stampin' Up! I can customize my cards and gifts to the recipient. That's probably my favorite thing about this hobby.

Isn't that pretty? I'm very happy with how this card turned out. I especially like that dot stamp that I used for the background. It looks like bokeh. And I adore me some bokeh.

For this card I used the following Stampin' Up! products (available for purchase in my SU store at the link in the sidebar :)
Paper: Vellum Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock
Ink Pads: Lavender Lace (retired), Eggplant Envy (retired), Elegant Eggplant  You could use Wisteria Wonder and Rich Razzleberry for the two colors that are retired. I just used what I had on hand. Contrary to what hubby may think, I don't own EVERY Stampin' Up! product lol. Though I would love to.
Stamps: Watercolor Wings and Rose Wonder for the sentiment
Ribbon and Trim:White Sequins from a past Paper Pumpkin kit
Adhesives: Stampin' Dimensionals and Snail Adhesive

Products from my stash (supplier mentioned or unknown): Purple Core'dinations cardstock, Rhinestone jewels (SU does offer these items, I just used what I had already).

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you found something interesting to inspire you here today.

Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies

I'm gonna try this blogging thing again. I have another personal blog, but I haven't kept up with it. Seems like Facebook does the job for that :) I thought I should start another one for my Stampin' Up! stuff. I'm a new(ish) demonstrator and just need a place to show people what I do and share the products needed to do it. I'll also include some non Stampin' Up! stuff once in a while. I'm a collector and have tons of other crafty stash. I enjoy making a little home decor sometimes too.

For this post today, I want to share an ongoing project I'm going to be working on. There is an awesome 100 Days Project (100 days of doing something creative) with the Scrap Gals Community group on Facebook (best community page ever for a scrapbooker in my opinion). This is my day 5. If you want to see my previous days, come see me on Facebook. Or, you can check me out on Instagram

My goal is actually to work on Christmas cards during my challenge. But I just got the Colorful Seasons bundle from SU and had to play with the leaf die. I'm in love!

For this card I used the following Stampin' Up! products (available for purchase in my SU store at the link in the sidebar :)
Cardstock: Old Olive, Berry Burst, Watercolor Paper, and Whisper White
Ink Pad: Berry Burst
Stamps: sentiment is from Rose Wonder set
Dies: Seasonal Layers Framelits Thinlits Dies
Ribbon and Trim: Crushed Curry Stitched Satin Ribbon, Copper Metallic Thread
Adhesives: Tear & Tape, Fine-Tip Glue Pen and Stampin' Dimensionals

Other (Non Stampin' Up! products): gold sequins and a scrap of orange cardstock from my stash

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you found something interesting to inspire you here today.
