Ode to Hello Cupcake

Oh Hello Cupcake, I will miss you. You retired in March, and life just isn't the same without you.

Ok, just kidding. I don't have to miss the Hello Cupcake stamp set because I still have it and won't part with it lol. But, I am sorry if you didn't get it. The good news is that you can do this same card with any cupcake image, or even a cake or cute animal or whatev.

I'm starting to think that whenever I make a card, I should just make two, right? Because I have everything out. And the cardstock sheets make two card bases anyhow. So why not build up my stash?

As everyone knows, I usually CASE cards (copy and share everything) from someone else. It makes my brain hurt to try to come up with a new design. This card is no different. I cased the lovely Mary Haugen at Center Stage Stamping. You can find her card here.

The little heart stickers are the only thing I didn't case. They are also not Stampin' Up! :0 I do have the Well Written thinlits dies, but I was too lazy to get them out. Lol. They are just stickers I had laying around from Walmart.

The twine is actually a strand that I pulled out of the burlap ribbon. Cause I didn't have twine. Smart huh?

Please, if you don't have a demonstrator already, choose me as your demonstrator when you go to make a purchase on the Stampin' Up! website. My name is Chelle Scott, and I live in Utah :)

As always, thank you so much for stopping by. And I hope you found something interesting to inspire you here today.

Gorgeous Grape Birthday

This coming week we have a lot of birthdays in our family. On May 21st my son will be 22, my sister will be 39, and Shane's aunt will be 65 (those three all on the same day!). My Dad will also turn 65 the next day. So, I have lots of cards to make in a hurry. My son doesn't want one. He didn't want to hurt my feelings, but I understand it isn't his thing. I'm not asking the rest of them lol. I think they will all enjoy them.

Anyhow, I decided to start with Shane's aunt. She is probably the easiest one to make a card for. She likes almost everything I do. And I know one of her fave colors is purple because it was her mom's favorite.

I have been loving the most recent Paper Pumpkin stamp set, Sentimental Rose. It is no longer available, but I had to share how awesome Paper Pumpkin has really become. This set will most likely stay in my stash for a very long time. As long as I love florals or it gets worn out :)

Don't you just love it?! I stamped the background all with the large rose image in Smoky Slate ink too.

Well, that's it for me today. Short and sweet. But stay tuned for more birthday stamping madness :)

For this card, I used the following Stampin' Up! (and some non SU) products available (mostly) for purchase at the Stampin' Up! store. Please, if you don't have a demonstrator already, choose me as your demonstrator when you go to checkout. My name is Chelle Scott, and I live in Utah :)

Happy Mother's Day

Hello again, and Happy Mother's Day! I've had a great day so far. My son bought me some geraniums yesterday, and we'll be putting them in planters shortly this afternoon. We went to breakfast this morning, which is one of my favorite things to do. And hubby told me he will do my dishes for me tonight. So it'll be an all around good day!

Here are my geraniums. Don't you just love them? I like geraniums because the colors are so vibrant and bright. My favorite color is, of course, the red. But that lighter, hot pink coralish one, is really pretty as well.

Two posts in less than a week? What?! Lol. I just had occasions to make cards for I guess. But it has felt really good to be more creative lately :)

I wanted to share with you some cards I made for my three sisters who are mothers. Kim's favorite colors are blue and green. Kenzi's (basically my sister-in-law) favorite color is brown. And, I don't know if Lacy even has a favorite color. But I used pink, green and yellow for her because I like them, and we have a lot of the same tastes.

I actually used gelatos from Faber-Castelle to do Kim and Lacy's cards. But I didn't have any in brown, so I did Kenzi's by sponging brown inks onto cardstock. I love all of them.

Stamps: April Paper Pumpkin "Sentimental Rose" set (no longer available for purchase)
PaperWhisper White Cardstock, Watercolor Paper, Scraps of Early Espresso and Pool Party, and the pink one is the inside of an envelope liner from the April Paper Pumpkin kit.

2019 Graduation Card

Hey friends! I know it's been a while. I can't be consistent these days to save my life! Ugh.

Anyway, I did want to let you know that I'm still alive lol. And I wanted to share a quick card I made today (even though it uses retired dies *gasp*). The large numbers are already retired, and the Sunshine Wishes Dies will be retired as of June 4th. So buy them before June 3rd if you want them!

My sister asked me to make a graduation card for someone whose school colors are purple and gold. I have to say, I love to make graduation cards with the retired large numbers dies from Stampin' Up! I'm so sad they retired. I use them for at least one graduation card a year. Not usually for myself, but by request from family and friends.

I should definitely mention that I pretty much cased some cards made by another demo, Bonnie O'Neill, to make this design.

For this card, I used the following Stampin' Up! products available (mostly) for purchase at the Stampin' Up! store. Please, if you don't have a demonstrator already, choose me as your demonstrator when you go to checkout. My name is Chelle Scott, and I live in Utah :)

Dies: Large Numbers (retired), Sunshine Wishes Thinlets Dies (retiring too! So sad.)
Embellishments: Gold Faceted Gems

As always, thank you so much for stopping by. And I hope you found something interesting to inspire you here today.
