Spring Fever

Is anyone else totally over winter? I know, I know, we need the water. We will have serious drought problems if we don't get more snow and rain. But, it is so cold! And, with my arthritis, sometimes the snow makes it dangerous for me to walk outside. I'm afraid I'll slip and break myself. Emergency surgery is not the goal! Lol. I mean, I want my hip replacement desperately. But I'd rather not be high risk when I do it, thank you.

Anyhow, I'm so ready for sunshine, blue skies and flowers. Even the rain is welcome at this point. So I guess I'll just have to live vicariously through my stamping :)

I cased all of these (duh, why wouldn't I?). I've never been great at designing. So, I'll just let the experts do it for me. Of course, I always give credit whenever I can. I don't want to steal the credit for the hard work and effort these incredible designers put into their art.

The starburst card was CASED from The Paper Pixie. I am a sucker for an excellent use of pattern paper. The more the better!

This rainbow vignette card was CASED from Aimee Lacroix-Slocum on a Sunday Stamping video that she did with her sister, Julie Davison. I used the older set of Rainbow Builder dies from a few years ago because I lent my current set of Brilliant Rainbow dies to a friend. See how that sentiment wraps the rainbows so well? That's what I love about photopolymer stamps!

And, finally, I CASED this one from Meg Holland. Could you die over those polka dot rain boots? Those were stamped in Daffodil Delight on the polka dot Abstract Beauty designer series paper.

Thanks for visiting my blog today, and if you don't have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator already, please choose me as your demo on your next Stampin' Up! order so that I can buy more pretty things lol.

Just click on "Find a Demonstrator" at the top of the Stampin' Up! website. Then, type my name in the search box (Chelle Scott).

And, as always, thanks so much for stopping by!

April Crafty Sharing

Just thought I'd check in and share a couple of cards I've made over the last couple of weeks.

The first one is a card that I really love. I made it for Shane's birthday. He turned 45 this week. I can't believe we're in our 40s. Time really does fly. I still feel 20 in my head. My body, now that's a bit different :) I actually made two of these so I could use one for my Dad for Father's Day.

As you can see above and below, I decorated the flap of my envelope as well as the inside of the card with some extra pieces of patterned paper. I love decorating and personalizing things that I gift to people. I hope that it shows my love and care for them.

As I have mentioned many times in the past, I hardly ever come up with card designs on my own. I almost always copy someone else's genius. I have the desire to create with my hands, but not to design lol. I think I can leave that up to people who are truly good at it and just happily go about emulating their talents to the best of may abilities. I think most people don't mind that. Otherwise they wouldn't share their work. But, I do want to give credit where credit is due. So, with that in mind, I got the above design from the extremely gifted Making Memories with Michelle.

This design from Julie's Japes I just loved when looking for ideas for using up my Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper. I got two packs for free during Sale-A-Bration, so I have lots to use up :)

For these cards, I used the following Stampin' Up! products available for purchase at the Stampin' Up! store. Please, if you don't have a demonstrator already, choose me as your demonstrator when you go to checkout. My name is Chelle Scott, and I live in Utah :)

You Are Wonderful Rooted in Nature Card

I feel like I am always apologizing for not being here lol. Life is so annoying ;) How dare it get in the way of my crafty time?!

Today I'm sharing a card I made as a thank you to a customer for her order. This is my first real play with the Rooted in Nature stamp set from Stampin' Up!, and I'm loving it! Those skeleton leaves are gorgeous. And the font for the sentiments in this set makes me swoon. Love, love, love this set. But now I'm pretty sorry I didn't just get the bundle with the dies. Now I need them after searching Pinterest for ideas. *Shakes fist in the air*, "Gah! Pinterest!" It's like a black hole. LMAO. But I adore Pinterest so much.

For this card, I used the following Stampin' Up! products available for purchase in my SU store:

Father's Day Card

Hey all! I was such a slacker all week that I didn't even have a card ready for my awesome dad for Father's Day! It's a good thing that the Waterfront stamp set makes it so easy to throw one together that looks like it took hours.
I guess I wasn't really a "slacker". I worked all week in Salt Lake from 8:00-8:00, plus I had an hour drive each way, so I didn't have a lot of time. I was excused from convention on Friday, so I got to work at the warehouse in Utah County for a normal shift. But, I was pooped. I'm telling you. Ninety five degrees inside a sales tent is no joke peeps.
Anyway, I'm back now. And I'm so grateful for shade and air conditioning!
I wanted to share the card I made for my amazing dad this weekend. Seriously--everyone always tells me how lucky I am to have a dad like him. And I agree!

I am seriously loving the waterfront stamp set. It gives us peeps that don't have a lot of watercoloring skills a way to make those awesome cards that look so artistic lol. It is so great for any occasion, but especially for the masculine card needs in life.

For this card, I used the following Stampin' Up! products available for purchase in my SU store:

Other: Gold Twine from an old Paper Pumpkin kit and retired Daisy Delight Designer Series Paper

As always, thank you so much for stopping by. And I hope you found something interesting to inspire you here today.

Pretty Mountain Scene Sympathy Card

Unfortunately, I had occasion to make a sympathy card today. A good friend's mother passed away this last week. I really wanted to make him a special card since we can't offer much in the way of other support. And I really wanted it to be a bit masculine, no flowers.

Enter the waterfront stamp set. I've loved this stamp set since I laid eyes on it, but I really didn't see how much potential it has. I mean, the regular stamped images are beautiful and can make some lovely scenes on their own. But add some water, and wow!

The inside says, "& the hard times easier". I followed a tutorial on YouTube by Linda Dalke to make this card. Such an easy and informative video. I highly recommend it.

I hope the recipient enjoys it as much as I did making it and realizes the love that was put into the creation.

I used the following Stampin' Up! products available for purchase in my SU store at the link in the sidebar :)
Paper: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Watercolor Paper, Smoky Slate
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party
Adhesives: Fast Fuse and Stampin' Dimensionals
Embellishments: 1/4" Basic Grey Shimmer Ribbon (Sale-A-Bration 2018 catalog)

Thanks for visiting today. And, if you just love anything I share or want to see more, the link to my Stampin' Up! store is in the upper right of the page links. Happy shopping!
