I love to use vellum to tone down a pattern that is just a bit too visually distracting. The trees pattern in the background of this card is gorgeous. The colors are stunning. But I felt like it distracted from my cute little deer family. So I embossed a piece of vellum with the retired Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder and layered that over top. I love that you still get to see the beautiful patterned paper without losing the focal point.
