What's Up My Witches!

Oh my gosh you guys! I almost forgot to share the cutest card I made for a local swap group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators. This card is so cute. I'm in love with the Toil & Trouble designer series paper. I used up all the stars one on these cards, and I kinda want more!

This is the only photo I have. I totally forgot to get one before I sent them off. So I had to ask the swap coordinator to get a pic for me. Isn't it the sweetest?

I had the funnest time coloring the witches. It got to practice with my Stampin' Blends, and I love them. They are so much easier than I thought they would be to blend with.

Pssst.....I cheated a bit. That cauldron and cat? Well I didn't color those. I cut them out of the DSP with the framelits from the designer series paper! Yes, there are stamps, but it was so convenient for me to just cut the ones from the dsp because I was making 12 of these cards. I wanted to color the witch. That was fun. But coloring all of that would have been difficult. I was on a time crunch. Because, hello do you know me? Ha ha. I always wait til the last minute. I think I am more motivated when I do that lol.

For this card, I used a fun gate fold and the following Stampin' Up! products available for purchase in my SU store:

Paper: Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper, Basic Black Cardstock, Crushed Curry Cardstock, Rich Razzleberry Cardstock
Stamp Sets: Cauldron Bubble
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad, Rich Razzleberry Ink Pad, Stampin' Blends
Markers: (Light and Dark) in Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green, and Ivory (just one shade in that last one).
Tools: Big Shot Machine, Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Stitched Shapes Framelets Dies (Circle) and Cauldron Framelits
Adhesive: Glue Dots and, Stampin' DimensionalsMultipurpose Liquid Glue

As always, thank you so much for stopping by. And I hope you found something interesting to inspire you here today.

You Are Wonderful Rooted in Nature Card

I feel like I am always apologizing for not being here lol. Life is so annoying ;) How dare it get in the way of my crafty time?!

Today I'm sharing a card I made as a thank you to a customer for her order. This is my first real play with the Rooted in Nature stamp set from Stampin' Up!, and I'm loving it! Those skeleton leaves are gorgeous. And the font for the sentiments in this set makes me swoon. Love, love, love this set. But now I'm pretty sorry I didn't just get the bundle with the dies. Now I need them after searching Pinterest for ideas. *Shakes fist in the air*, "Gah! Pinterest!" It's like a black hole. LMAO. But I adore Pinterest so much.

For this card, I used the following Stampin' Up! products available for purchase in my SU store:

Dandelion Wedding Wishes

I can't help it. I'm loving this Dandelion Wishes stamp set. It has sentiments for wedding, get well and love. It is so versatile! You can even combine it with sentiments from other sets. I think the dandelion images in this set would be great for a sympathy card.

Today I'm sharing a wedding card for a special girl in our life. She is the daughter of my husband's work friend. And she is the biggest sweetheart. I was so happy to see her meet the love of her life :) They had a rustic, cowboy theme wedding. So I thought this card was very appropriate.

For this card, I used the following Stampin' Up! products available for purchase in my SU store:

Stamp Sets: Dandelion Wishes
Tools: Stampin Trimmer, Label Punch (retired)
Embellishments: Burlap Ribbon, Gold Twine from old Paper Pumpkin kit, Scrap of Aqua Ribbon from Dollar Tree, Button from my Craft Stash

I'm slowly working through my new catalog wish list, one paycheck at a time :) There are so many fun new stamp sets!
This Bokeh Dots background stamp really caught my eye, but I wasn't sure how I'd ever use it. It's small for a background, and I'm truly not very creative. But I knew lots of ideas would pop up from other talented people, and it would be an awesome addition to my ever growing stamp collection once I got it figured out.
Enter the Dandelion Wishes set. How did I not see this the first time I flipped eagerly through my catty? I mean, it's so cute! And it compliments the Bokeh Dots set perfectly. As soon as I saw it, I wanted to do a sentiment that said "Wish" in it. Didn't we all make a wish while blowing on dandelions as kids? Nostalgic.
For this card, I used the following Stampin' Up! products available for purchase in my SU store:

Stamp Sets: Dandelion Wishes, Follow Your Dreams (sentiment), Bokeh Dots
Embellishments: Metallics Sequin Assortment

As always, thank you so much for stopping by. And I hope you found something interesting to inspire you here today.

Follow Your Dreams

Today I'm sharing a card that I created for a new catalog card swap with my team. I've always adored dream catchers. They have a magical quality to them. And, let's face it, they're just so darn pretty. So I was really excited to see this set in the new catalog.
I used an aqua painter to pick up color from the lid of my ink pad and sweep it across the shimmery cardstock. It is kind of fun to get messy sometimes. And the effect was just what I was looking for.
I'm sort of addicted to sequins. They add such a whimsical, pretty touch. I think they are the perfect finisher for nearly any card.
For this card, I used the following Stampin' Up! products available for purchase in my SU store:

Father's Day Card

Hey all! I was such a slacker all week that I didn't even have a card ready for my awesome dad for Father's Day! It's a good thing that the Waterfront stamp set makes it so easy to throw one together that looks like it took hours.
I guess I wasn't really a "slacker". I worked all week in Salt Lake from 8:00-8:00, plus I had an hour drive each way, so I didn't have a lot of time. I was excused from convention on Friday, so I got to work at the warehouse in Utah County for a normal shift. But, I was pooped. I'm telling you. Ninety five degrees inside a sales tent is no joke peeps.
Anyway, I'm back now. And I'm so grateful for shade and air conditioning!
I wanted to share the card I made for my amazing dad this weekend. Seriously--everyone always tells me how lucky I am to have a dad like him. And I agree!

I am seriously loving the waterfront stamp set. It gives us peeps that don't have a lot of watercoloring skills a way to make those awesome cards that look so artistic lol. It is so great for any occasion, but especially for the masculine card needs in life.

For this card, I used the following Stampin' Up! products available for purchase in my SU store:

Other: Gold Twine from an old Paper Pumpkin kit and retired Daisy Delight Designer Series Paper

As always, thank you so much for stopping by. And I hope you found something interesting to inspire you here today.

In With the New!

Today I got to play with some of my new catalog product. I'm in love! These layered stamps are so beautiful! And that die cut makes me swoon. These product aren't even available to customers yet (you can buy them on June 1st), and there are so many ideas on Pinterest already. If the demonstrators love it, you all are going to need it! Ha ha.

I CASED this card from Melissa Davies of RubberFUNatics. I loved the colors and knew it would be good for the sympathy card I had to make this week. I hate making sympathy cards because that means someone I know is in pain. But, it also lets them know that I sincerely care. So, we do what we can, right?

Don't you just love that white on white die cut in the background? And the new grapefruit grove ink is just lovely.

I used the following Stampin' Up! products available for purchase in my SU store:

Stamp Sets: Abstract Impressions*, Rose Wonder (retiring on May 31st)
Ink: Grapefruit Grove*, Pear Pizazz, Early Espresso
Die: Springtime Impressions*
Embellishments: Old Olive Mini Chevron Ribbon (retiring on May 31st), Pearl Basic Jewels
* These items will be available on June 1, 2018 with the launch of the new Stampin' Up! catalog

Saying Goodbye to Numbers Framelits

You guys! I'm so sad. These large numbers framelits are retiring! I love these. They are great for making birthday, anniversary and graduation cards. In fact, today I'm sharing a graduation card I made for my sister to give to her niece using these dies. I have made several cards in this same design for different school colors in the last couple of years. I will be keeping these dies. They are just too useful lol. Grab yours in my shop while you still can!

I used the following products in my project shared today:

Cardstock: Basic Black, Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White, Silver Foil Sheets, Black Glitter (unknown source)
Dies: Large Numbers Framelits, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies
Embellishments: Silver Star Sequins (unknown source)

As always, thank you so much for stopping by. And I hope you found something interesting to inspire you here today.

A Friend Like You

Hey there. I know it's been a while. I feel like I'm always using that "life is crazy" exuse, but it honestly is lol. We've just had tons of stuff going on lately, so I haven't had time or energy to make any crafties. Which stresses me out to be honest. I am a person that needs that creative outlet. Makers need to make! Ha ha.
So, here is my card share this week. This was made using Stampin' Up! new product from the 2018-2019 catalog. And, guess what..........You can buy a lot of this product now! Sale-A-Bration Birthday Shaker Card

I sometimes have a hard time coming up with card designs of my own. I CASE a lot of other people's work. And I think that is totally fine. Takes the guess work out of things and lets me just place with my stuff and have fun.

But, every once in a while, I get an idea that is my own. And this is one of those times. This isn't a life-changing design by any means lol. I have seen and made shaker cards this same way before. But, I didn't copy this card from anyone. And I love it!

I used the following Stampin' Up! products available for purchase in my SU store at the link in the sidebar :)
Paper: Whisper White, Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper (Occasions 2018 catalog)
Ink: Berry Burst
Adhesives: Snail Adhesive, Foam Adhesive Strips, Mini Glue Dots
Embellishments: Sequins, Berry Burst 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon (Occasions 2018 catalog)

Pretty Mountain Scene Sympathy Card

Unfortunately, I had occasion to make a sympathy card today. A good friend's mother passed away this last week. I really wanted to make him a special card since we can't offer much in the way of other support. And I really wanted it to be a bit masculine, no flowers.

Enter the waterfront stamp set. I've loved this stamp set since I laid eyes on it, but I really didn't see how much potential it has. I mean, the regular stamped images are beautiful and can make some lovely scenes on their own. But add some water, and wow!

The inside says, "& the hard times easier". I followed a tutorial on YouTube by Linda Dalke to make this card. Such an easy and informative video. I highly recommend it.

I hope the recipient enjoys it as much as I did making it and realizes the love that was put into the creation.

I used the following Stampin' Up! products available for purchase in my SU store at the link in the sidebar :)
Paper: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Watercolor Paper, Smoky Slate
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Night of Navy, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party
Adhesives: Fast Fuse and Stampin' Dimensionals
Embellishments: 1/4" Basic Grey Shimmer Ribbon (Sale-A-Bration 2018 catalog)

Thanks for visiting today. And, if you just love anything I share or want to see more, the link to my Stampin' Up! store is in the upper right of the page links. Happy shopping!

Magical Day Unicorn Love

It has been a few long weeks for me. Anyone else? Do you ever just like, lose your mojo? I have all these amazing new goodies from Stampin' Up!, and I see all of these ideas on Pinterest that I'm loving, but I just couldn't make myself do anything with all that inspiration. I hate when that happens, but then sometimes I think maybe we just need that creative break.

I finally found a project sample on Pinterest that sparked something. It was a fairly simple one, and I already had some of the pieces leftover from previous projects, so I decided to go for it. Yay!

Don't you just love it? I shamelessly CASED this from Yvonne Van Bruggen. Her card was so beautiful. I just had to try it. Rainbows are still speaking to me, and I'm listening! Lol.

I used the following Stampin' Up! products available for purchase in my SU store at the link in the sidebar :)
Paper: Whisper White, scrap of Daffodil Delight for the sun cutout, scraps of Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper and vellum cardstock for cloud cutouts
Markers: Stampin Blends in Light Cherry Cobbler, Dark Pumpkin Pie, Dark Daffodil Delight, Dark Old Olive, Light Bermuda Bay, and Dark Rich Razzleberry
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Dies: Magical Mates Framelits Dies
Adhesives: Snail Adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals
Embellishments: Sequins, Myths and Magic Washi Tape (so yum!)

Stay tuned to see if I can keep this mojo going :) And, if you just love anything I share or want to see more, the link to my Stampin' Up! store is in the upper right of the page links. Happy shopping!
